Essay on Is College Worth The Effort - 883 Words
Is College Worth The Effort? College has been a total waste of your time and money! Imagine telling that to a student who just finished four years of hard, grueling, expensive work; or, even worse, a parent who paid for their child to finish that same grueling work. But, in some ways, that statement canââ¬â¢t be any further from the truth. College can prepare a student for life in so many more ways than for a career. I think itââ¬â¢s more than what itââ¬â¢s done traditionally, Mr. Coles answered when I asked what he thought a collegeââ¬â¢s role was in preparing students for life after college, and that is, traditionally, the role is to prepare people for the workforce. Mr. Coles describes college as a place that teaches you life lessons about responsibility. Thereââ¬â¢s a certain expectation in terms of responsibility in college that carry over, that carry beyond.Show MoreRelatedEssay on Is College Worth our Time and Effort?874 Words à |à 4 Pagesearned a college degree to get their high-level job that requires years of learning and preparation to acquire, such as a doctor or a programmer.
